Reunion Activity Schedule

July
3rd Mon

10am - 5pm: It is highly recomended that everyone makes arrangments to come as early as possible  to enjoy the fantastic, "This Is The Place Heritage Park," activities for adults and children.

When flying into SLC,  use UTA TRAX Light Rail direct to Little America Hotel the Green line stop at the Courthouse Station (24 min).

Check-in to the Hotel.  Use UBER (15 min) and go to "This Is The Place Heritage Park", and ask for a Langkilde Reunion free ticket.

5pm - 6pm: Registration, pictures, upstairs videos and downstairs displays, meet & greet. 

Emigration Room in the Pioneer Center. (reunion pays).

​

6pm - 7:30pm: Welcome with videos, family introductions, and buffet BBQ Dinner 

​

7:30pm - 10pm: Famly picture. Get aquainted games.  Free transportation will be provided back to Little America Hotel.

4th Tues

8am:  Take the van from Little America Hotel to Park City, City Park (1354 Park Ave) for 7am-10am  free breakfast.

​

9:30am: Drive uptown to the Marsac South Visitor Parking Lot (1 mi from City Park) for the 11am parade (be early).

​

​

1pm: Drive to Olympic Village ( Utah Olympic Park, 3419 Olympic Pkwy, Park City) for a 1 hour bus tour  either at 1pm or 2pm. Those on the 2pm tour are invited to visit the museum first. Lunch is on your own. After the museum and tour pick your choices of rides, ,i,e., the trilling bobsled, chair lift, zip line and navigate through an elaborate ropes course (you pay).

5pm: Visit the famous downtown area (where the parade was) with shops and a variety of eatting place of your choice for dinner (you pay).

​

7:30pm - 8pm: Drive up to Canyons Village for the 4th of July drone display.  Park at the  free Park City Mountain Cabriolet Ski Lift parking lot and take the Cabriolet Ski Lift to the top and find a place to watch the drone display.

​

8pm - 10pm: Watch drone show, play, sing, and dance to live music until you go home.

5th Wed

8:00am - 9:30am: Van travel to the the golden spike National Park and museum. The ceremonial 17.6-karat gold final spike was driven by Leland Stanford to join the rails of the first transcontinental railroad across the United States connecting the Central Pacific (reunion pays).

9:30am - 10:30am: Video and visit gift shop

10:30am -11:30am: Ranger presenation

11:30 am - 1pm: Visit Antelope Island and the Great Salt Lake. See bisons and experience real salt water lake.

1pm: - 2:00pm: Drive to Clearfield City Park.

2:00pm - 6:00pm: Eat lunch, and play games. (Reunion Pays)

6:oopm -7pm: Drive back to Little America Hotel.

6th Thu

5am: Depart for the Yellowstone National Park,  where we will see the tremendous exploding Old Faithful Geyser,  encountered the area's incredible geothermal activity, hot springs, bubbling mud pots, Tetons Mountains and  the famous Jackson Hole ski area.

​

9am: Conoco Gas & Rest Stop 30 min,  Burger King (6662 W. Overland Dr, Idaho Falls, ID)

​

11:30am:- 2pm: Park and visit  Old Faithful Inn and see the Geyser. It was named for its frequent and somewhat predictable eruptions (92min - 127min), which number more than a million since Yellowstone became the world’s first national park in 1872.

​

We will eat lunch in the Old Faithful Inn . It is arguably the most famous lodge in the world. Built in 1903-04, the Inn is an imposing and impressive structure that strikes awe in many first-time visitors (you pay).

​

2pm - 4pm: Drive through and view the Tetons mountain range.

​

4pm -6pm: Stop at the famous Jackson Hole, Wyoming Window shop and eat dinner (you pay).

​

6pm -10:30pm: Continue on to Evanston, Wyoming. Relax and do some sight seeing as you go along the Snake River. If you want to, recline your seat  and take a snooze on the way back to Little America Hotel. This is a trip you will never forget!

7th Fri

Use TRAX, a free downtown light rails system in front of  Little America Hotel and tour some of Salt Lake City's most historic locations.

 

9:00am - 10am: Be at the conference center and split up into 3 groups for a 1 hour tour.

10am-1pm: Then stay in your groups for a three hour tour on the Church museum,  tabernacle, and assembly hall. and Family Search Building. A ten minute break between each tour will be provided in the family search building with refreshment vending machines are available.

​

1pm - 3pm: Visit City Creek Center Mall, relax, visit and go shopping if you want.

Use TRAX to go back to Grand America Hotel across the street from Little America Hotel.

​

3pm- 5pm: Grand America Hotel closing cerimony and plated dinner. (Reunion Pays)

5pm- plus: Visit at Grand and Little America's Lobbys and say good byes.
